Welcome to gone.world. This is the home of sailing vessel Humpback and its crew: David, Charlotte, Arthur, Theo and Hector. We blog mostly about each place we visit and our passages between them. Sometimes, we also talk about other things like babies and children on board, boat-schooling and boat maintenance.
Lovely beach for the kids, wildlife abounds, cheap data, boat maintenance. We like it here.
Beautiful sail, and best of all saw humpbacks on the way into Samana Bay! We all love night sailing.
Anchored well off the reef. Playground and shop as well as wonderful places to visit, but we didn’t spend long here as a weather window opened up.
Had the saildrive fixed (after waiting for a part). Excellent playground, nice anchorage, slightly awkward check-in.
Quiet bay when the cruise ships are not there. Short walk from the Atlantic coast, nice place.
Wonderfully muddy salt pond with innumerable birds and crabs. But, not much else to do for us here so we moved on.
Saildrive is broken, at least a little. Good time with another cruising family, and work.
Cleared the propeller, chilled on the boat.
More time with Nana G and Shaun. some boat jobs, small problem on exiting the marina. Little text, some photos.
Beach fire on Christmas day. visit from Nana G and Shaun for 10 days. Little text, many photos
