South West Cay again, Glovers Reef

2nd-3rd August 2022

We’d planned a midway stop again for snorkeling, but the squalls that were occurring regularly that day were in the 25-30kt range (with a couple of 35+kt gusts) which we decided was probably too windy to enjoy anchoring in among the coral.

This anchorage was sheltered from the worst of the squalls, and close enough for Charlotte to make a couple of quick dinghy visits to the coral (with rapid returns to the boat as the cloud bank approached, and another around dusk as she worried about sharks).
