Too many mosquitoes and not the beach we expected, so we stayed only 30 minutes!
After an intially difficult time anchoring, we enjoyed a few days exploring by dinghy, swimming, and making new friends.
A quick stop while we cleared in, then we headed to a better protected anchorage to start our time in Belize.
We’re officially out of the river and ready for new adventures. A short time anchored before Belize, enjoying Hector’s 4th Birthday.
Clearing out and COVID testing, Hector’s 4th birthday begins, and we all begin our new adventures out of Guatemala.
Back in El Golfete on the way out of the Rio- peace, tranquility, a rainforest walk. Wonderful!

Two weeks exploring the historical city of Antigua. Great place to spend Christmas and the fireworks and New Year were special. Climbed a volcano.
A wonderful location for a two-week visit to Lake Atitlan. Coffee and avacado plantation on site, beautiful local walks, and easy to visit the rest of lake. A Christmassy feel.
A short stay at a campsite surrounded by volcanic peaks and beautiful countryside. Stunning!
