Comfortable start to the passage – eating proper food, too. Establishing passage routines.

Stunning cliff-face skyline provides the setting for a secure anchorage off a lovely little town. We spent a wonderful couple of weeks here and exploring inland a little.
Wonderful sail. Experimenting with twin headsails (success), stargazing with Arthur, ringing in the New Year off the South coast of Tenerife.
Spent longer than planned anchored off this somewhat dull, but pretty enough, private urbanisation. Christmas visits from Nana B and Gordon; lots of swimming.
Atlantic crossing aborted for now after a couple of minor boat problems. Lovely passage, though 🙂
Three months in the boatyard – lots of work done on the boat, and we figure it’s a good idea to cross an Ocean.
Sailing against the trade winds…. not fun.
Secure and sheltered anchorage just outside the marina. Family-boats about! Lots of swimming.
Secure anchorage sheltered from the North and North-East (in lightish conditions). Tourist-spot with a long beautiful beach.
Be aware of the wind speeds in this area (ignore the forecasts, listen to locals) – fun sailing in flat conditions with light-ish background winds.
