Isla Culatra
Beautiful island. Peaceful, lots to explore, good shelter for riding out some bad weather.

Perhaps our favourite of the islands in this estuary – unfortunately our visits were curtailed by the weather.
Lovely town we visited on three occasions – excellent market, lots of back-streets to explore, easy to get to from the nearby anchorages by ferry/dinghy or sailboat!
Anchored just outside a mooring field, had a visitor (Nana G) staying with us, good few days close to the city and exploring the saltmarsh.
Once we were settled Arthur’s first words were something along the lines of “its good to be at anchor. It is beautiful here.” He was right on both counts.
On passage from Lisbon to Alvor we had a combination of lovely sailing conditions (first half) and wind-lacking conditions. Charlotte poorly again!
A stormy night in a sheltered anchorage. Dreaming about anchor alarms.
Sheltered anchorage just outside the moored fishing boats. Winter wonderland, beach visit, will return to the town but had to move on because of the weather forecast!
