The salt pond here had some lovely mud in it, which was nice to wade in, or bathe in if you are one of our kids. All of us had a nice wander. Lots of life, too, from fish in the shallows to innumerable birds and crabs. Hector enjoyed hunting for crabs and probably would have spent hours picking them up if we’d let him, but it was getting towards dusk and it felt like mosquitos would be out soon. Not much for us to do here aside from the mud (tempting as it is to go superyacht viewing – there was one on sale for only 100 million euros, we could have gone on a tour…). So, we moved on to Frigate Bay in the hope of a better beach.
