Near-ideal conditions for long distance sailing –light winds but enough to make good progress, meaning fairly flat seas, and not much of a swell from previous winds either. Morning continuing our downwind sailing with twin headsails. As the wind dropped below 10kt in the afternoon we switched onto a broad reach and took the reef out of the mainsail (as our boat speed increases the “apparent” wind moves forward, letting us sail further “off” the wind while keeping our speed up, which is handy when your destination is dead downwind).
We were all bored of pasta which was on the menu today, so Charlotte made naan breads and lentil curry for lunch. Yum yum.
